The meeting of the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey began a short while ago in Islamabad to discuss de-escalation in the region.

Egyptian Foreign Minister and Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, met today with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar during his current visit to Islamabad to participate in the quadrilateral ministerial meeting on the latest regional developments and efforts to de-escalate tensions.

He commended the remarkable progress in bilateral relations across various fields and emphasized the commitment to the regular convening of institutional mechanisms between the two countries, particularly the Joint Committee chaired by the two foreign ministers, and to working towards holding it at the earliest opportunity to serve the interests of both nations.
