Meet Egypt's Teenage Beauty Queen Habiba Osman (VIDEO)

In New Cairo, the coronation ceremony of Miss Eco Teen Egypt was held, where Habiba Osman won the title, in the presence of a large crowd, who kept chanting for her all night long.

Various artists, including Reem el Baroudy and Firas Saeed were among members of the jury, as well as Amal Rezk, president of the competition. Singer Marwa Nasr performed in the competition with three of her most popular hits.

Osman said in an exclusive interview with the English Sada el Balad English  See) that she had always wanted to join beauty pageants and she is very happy that she was able to win the title, which was a dream that finally came true.

The 18-year-old queen graduated from the "Europa Schule Kairo" and is studying economics in Germany, which will help her open her own brand of cosmetics.

She said that she is a professional skater, who has been practicing the sport for more than 14 year and has participated in national and international competitions in this field both in Italy and Croatia.

The beauty queen urged other girls to join the contest as it is a fruitful experience that will transform their personality for the better. “We did a lot of cat walks and rehearsals before the competition and spend a lot of time with different characters under different conditions.”

"We also visited the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Cancer Hospital and we will have other programs in the future".

When asked about beauty, she said that inner and spiritual beauty is what counts, and that beauty is not only external, adding that she was impressed by the question the jury put to her about workplace bullying. “One should have self-confidence and not be affected by 'bullying', but rather work on strengthening one's personality.

Osman also won Miss Talent Eco Teen Egypt, and Best Eco Dress First Runner-up.

Meanwhile, Sandra Adel was chosen as the first runner-up for Miss Egypt 2021, Lina Ayman won the title of Miss Egypt Tourism 2021, and Nagham Tarek was Miss Egypt for the Environment.

Shahi Hamdi won the title of "Miss Grand International" 2021, a title that qualify her to participate in international competitions.

The ceremony included several events, most notably the presentation of dresses for the participants, with unique and modern designs, bearing the colors of the fall fashion 2021, and the crowning of Miss Egypt 2021, Miss Egypt for Tourism and Environment 2022, as well as Miss International Tourism and Miss Grand International Egypt 2021. A display of recycled dresses by teenage beauty queens were also presented.

The number of participants reached 27 for the Miss Egypt contest, and 26 for the Miss Eco Teen, and from each category the queen is chosen in addition to her runner-up.
