The Medical Syndicate answers the questions of foreign university students abroad. Many questions have been posed over the past few days regarding the amendment of the system for registering foreign university medicine graduates abroad.

* Reasons for modification:

* Many problems appeared in recent years, including:

1- Some students enter foreign medical colleges with a total 50% only in high school, which wasted the principle of equal opportunity.

2- Some students who obtained a high school diploma from the literary section entered foreign medical colleges, without studying the scientific subjects, which qualifies to study medicine.

3-These foreign colleges do not offer real medical education, which harms the Egyptians lives.

4- On other hand, some private medical colleges in Egypt did not adhere to the establishment and study conditions, especially their possession of a suitable university hospital for training students.

Therefore, the doctors general assembly held in April 2019, which decided the following:

First: private medical colleges inside Egypt:

The college must possess the legal study components such as the university hospital with a suitable capacity for training.

Second: foreign medical colleges abroad:

1- Biology, chemistry and physics must be studied as basic subjects that make students qualify to study medicine; therefore, a high school diploma in science must be submitted or a certificate explaining the study when applying for registration in the Syndicate.

2- For high school education certificate inside Egypt can be used: the difference in the total of high school must not exceed 5% of the minimum admission limit for Egyptian government medical colleges in the same year of obtaining high school.

The decision will be applied for students who started studying in foreign medical colleges in the academic year 2019-2020.

- Yes, they have the same legal position.

Q5 / Are those who obtained medical degrees abroad assigned to government work in Egypt?

Foreign education mafia

In recent years, the doctors’ syndicate has received many requests from students who obtained certificates from Eastern European countries and other countries where education business activity is spreading.

It is no longer an educational market-an issue of supply and demand- or a money-making educational service. Rather, a global business used to achieve its goals by all means even if it is illegal; thus students fall victim to many scams and con.
