Dr. Abdel-Basset Seddik, Professor at the Department of Health and Mathematical Sciences at the Faculty of Physical Education at Alexandria University, revealed a prescription that can be followed by parents to protect their children during training exercises from infection of Coronavirus "Covid-19".
The professor explained in a special statement to SEENews that sports is important when raising children in order to improve overall health.
He pointed out that this matter requires regularity in sports training, whether in a stadium, hall or swimming pool and the presence of other colleagues in the team or in training with whom they participate in training or competition and this is one of the components of different training methods "tactical skills"; this is in normal circumstances the world is currently going through the Coronavirus epidemic.
He explained that the public is in a dangerous stage that requires all inpiduals to consider their behaviors in everything, including sports training and sports competitions; this prompted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today, Saturday, to issue a decision to suspend education in all schools and universities for a period of 15 days to prevent the spread of infection among our children.
Also the Prime Minister issued a decision to stop all competitions and sports gatherings to prevent mass contamination.
The measures that parents must pay attention to in order to protect their children from infection came through a set of important instructions according to what the university professor. The instructions are:
1. It is known scientifically that physical activity and violent sports training result in a decrease in the body's natural immunity, but it returns to its normal rate after the end of training one or two hours, and thus facilitates the transmission of infection between the trainees.
2. During swimming training or water games they allow for easy transmission of the virus in the aqueous medium if one of them is infected with the Coronavirus. Therefore, our advice focuses on observing personal hygiene and taking protection and preventive measures such as bathing in hot water and soap or washing hands with hot water and soap, and not to use other people's tools and care to use antiseptics - "soap - diluted alcohol" for personal use.
3. We recommend that during this period the public must take care not to train in groups and that the training be as inpidual as possible with commitment, as well as avoiding crowded or poorly ventilated places.
4. Training under sunlight and at temperatures above 27 degrees is preferred because it kills the Coronavirus.
5. When it is absolutely necessary, inpidual training can be sufficient in any room suitable for training at home or private garden, if any, during these until the infection is controlled or the emergence of preventive treatment.
6. We can benefit from the most important recommendations from the American University of Harvard and other international universities that have provided recommendations and tips that can be used in preserving our children from infection. Among the most important of these recommendations is the use of three vitamins.. the most important of which is vitamin C, which is one of the largest system enhancers Immunity, because vitamin C deficiency makes the child more susceptible to any disease, let alone infection with the Corona virus, so you will find vitamin C in foods such as oranges, tangerines, strawberries, peppers, spinach, kale and broccoli.
7. It is important for children to take vitamin B6 to support chemical reactions in the immune system in the body. Foods rich in vitamin B6 include chicken and fish, such as salmon and tuna. Vitamin (B6) is also found in all green and chickpeas vegetables.
