The mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye—have officially welcomed the completion of the formation of the Palestinian Technocratic Committee designated to administer the Gaza Strip. The committee will be headed by Dr. Ali Abdel Hamid Shaath.
In a joint statement, the mediators described this step as a significant development that will support efforts to strengthen stability and improve the humanitarian situation within the Gaza Strip.
The mediators expressed their hope that the establishment of this committee will pave the way for implementing the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, in line with the plan previously announced by His Excellency President Donald Trump.
They noted that this progress is intended to help consolidate calm and prevent any renewed escalation of hostilities.
Furthermore, Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye emphasized the necessity for all parties to fully adhere to the agreement. This commitment aims to achieve a sustainable peace and create the conditions required for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, ultimately fulfilling the Palestinian people's aspirations for security, stability, and a dignified life.
