In a statement on Friday, the council said that amid the conflicts and hardships facing millions across the globe, “a single smile can build bridges of mercy and compassion, break down barriers of hatred, and open the doors to coexistence.”
The council highlighted the importance of spreading hope and kindness, particularly to those suffering from wars and displacement, including refugees and people who have lost their homes.
The message called on communities worldwide to embrace unity and compassion, underscoring that “the world needs smiles more than ever — today and every day.”
