Former Tottenham and Al Ahly manager Martin Jol has been nominated to lead Egyptian club Pyramids to succeed Ante Čačić.

Pyramids sacked the Croatian manager Ante Čačić following their 0-1 defeat to RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup final.

Egyptian reports said that the last hours witnessed the nomination of Jol, Rene Weiler, and Ihab Galal to lead the club.

The new manager will be appointed during the upcoming days before the start of the new season.
