Manpower Ministry and the office of the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Cairo launched Sunday a National Action Plan on Combating Worst Forms of Child Labor and Supporting Families (2018-2025).
During his speech on the occasion of launching the national plan on Sunday, Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan underlined that child labor is a crime that should be stopped, adding that delaying launching the plan is due to working on providing mechanisms to implement it on the ground on the short and long runs.
Saafan asserted that the government seeks improving the conditions of the Egyptian family and providing adequate income that allows it to dispense with child labor.
The minister said also that he will follow up the national plan to swiftly remove obstacles hindering achieving its goals.
