Major Companies Participate in Israel’s General Strike

The Hebrew newspaper Maariv revealed that a number of major companies operating in Israel participated in the general strike on Sunday, which was called by the Hamas Prisoners' Families Authority.

A number of labor entities, most notably the Histadrut, announced the Israeli Workers' Union to participate in the general strike, and Arnon Barr David, head of the Histadrut of the unions and labor committees, called for allowing employees, whether government or private, to participate in protests and the strike individually without calling for it in their workplaces.

According to "Maariv", the strike has so far witnessed the participation of the Workers' Committee at Ben-Gurion Airport, the Industrialists Association, and the Civil Aviation Workers' Union.

Maariv said that Microsoft International's branch in Israel also announced that it would allow any employee who wishes to strike to do so, even without deducting a day off.

Tnova, which is one of the largest and largest companies for the production of milk and its derivatives in Israel, also joined the general strike, and it also allowed its employees to strike at the company's headquarters without discounting today. However, the company pointed out that work in the main sites continues to maintain the continuity of work and production.

Among the companies also participating in the strike are Meta Tel Aviv, Wix, Papaya Global, in addition to the universities of Tel Aviv, Haifa, Bar-Ilan, Ben-Gurion, Reichman, in addition to the Bar Association, and the Mershim Organization of Specialized Doctors.

In addition to the local councils in the settlements of Ramat Negev, Emik Yezrel, Ashkul, Hood Hasharon, Ramat Hasharon, Jedida.

Maariv newspaper pointed out that a number of local restaurants will also participate in the strike, in addition to cafes, by participating in the strike by demonstrating, or by closing branches for a certain number of hours.
