El Esseily, born on December 10, 1982, is an Egyptian singer, composer, and music producer.

He composed his first song at the age of 9 to perform it live on stage in a school talent show.

El Esseily’s mother enrolled him in piano lessons at the age of 4 based on his obvious talents.

He studied mass communication and integrated marketing at the American University in Cairo, during which he participated in every talent show since he was a freshman.

More so, El Esseily released song “Khayef men bokra” in the university’s CD.

During one of those talent shows the brother of his friend, decided to produce a song for him and later on, the idea developed into being a full album.

Esseily was unable to decide which song would be the song he releases as his first single, and though his producers and friends suggested that he’d release “Magnouna” he wanted to go with something more serious, meanwhile, he was expected to sing at the AUC carnival and open for Amr Diab; his friend in the student union was able to get him a spot in the show, which changed his destiny.

He performed “magnoona” at the show, which the crowd went wild for, asking him to perform it three consecutive times. He felt overwhelmed, and flattered, but more so, he knew for certain that song would be his first single.

The single was released in 2002 even though Mahmoud had composed it at the age of 14, and soon Esseily’s career to stardom had kicked off.
