"Russia Today" reported this morning that dozens of people demonstrated in front of the French embassy in the Iraqi capital to protest “France's Macron stances towards Islam.”

The correspondent of RT said that the demonstrators burned the French flag and pictures of French President Emmanuel Macron and raised slogans denouncing Paris stances towards Islam."

He added that the Iraqi security forces have taken strict measures in front of the French embassy to prevent any attacks on the diplomats.

On the other hand, the leader of the leftist party, " Unbowed France- La France Insoumise", Jean-Luc Mélenchon, refused to support French President Emmanuel Macron in his argument with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He said that "Macron has completely lost control of the situation."

In response to a question about Macron's support, Melenchon replied that he has already supported him many times but he will not do it anymore.

The party's  leader went on to say the best thing that he can do is 'silence'.
