French President Emmanuel Macron stressed that the West has agreed not to provide Ukraine with aircraft and tanks, especially assault aircraft, because the west will not enter the war against Russia.

"You are talking about an unofficial agreement, but this is an almost official position of NATO partners that we help Ukraine to defend, but do not enter the war with Russia. Therefore, a certain weapon, such as assault aircraft or tanks, was reached an agreement not supply," said Macron.

According to him, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky knows about this agreement.

Macron also added that France helps Ukraine mainly with ammunition and “certain types of weapons”, including armored equipment.

Moreover, he noted that Paris provided Ukrainian forces with 12 self -propelled artillery installations Caesar.

Russia sent a note to all Western countries, including the United States, warning of the consequences of supplying Ukraine with arms.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said NATO countries were "playing with fire" by providing arms to Ukraine. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any arms shipment to Kyiv would become a legitimate target for Russia.
