French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Germany, at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
"At the invitation of President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of the Republic of France, Emmanuel Macron, will pay an official visit to Germany from July 2 to 4," the German presidency said in a statement.
During the visit, Macron will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty between Germany and France.
The German President will also accompany his French counterpart to visit many regions in Germany.
Macron's visit to Berlin will be the first of its kind in 23 years.
Macron will also meet with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to discuss the friction on a range of issues key to both countries, such as energy files and relations with China.
