French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview with French TF1 television, Monday, that his country is open to training pilots of Ukrainian fighter jets in France, and that these training programs can start immediately.

In response to a question about the delivery of warplanes to Ukraine, Macron mentioned that he did not discuss this issue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his visit to France at the end of the week.

"I have not talked about airplanes. I have talked about missiles. I have talked about training," he said. Asked about training for Ukraine pilots on French warplanes, the French president said, "There are no taboos".

In his nightly video address from a train returning to Kyiv after a stop in London on Monday, Zelenskyy said Britain and Poland had agreed to join an alliance created to train Ukrainian pilots on modern Western aircraft.

"Britain -- yes. Poland -- yes. And I am sure France and other partners will join," he noted.
