On Monday, France’s President Emmanuel Macron announced the financing of projects worth 360 million euros to help rebuild Pakistan, which is suffering the consequences of devastating floods last year.
At the opening of an international conference of the United Nations and Pakistan, Macron said his country decided to contribute a number of projects in Pakistan worth 360 million euros, which would be implemented in response to the challenges of reconstruction, and then adaptation to climate change.
He confirmed that France would contribute an additional 10 million euros in emergency aid.
"We must prove that when a country is exposed to a shock of this magnitude, the international community, and all financial institutions are able to support it, for a more flexible reconstruction, The French president said.
Macron added that hopes the other countries and institutions can support Pakistan in the short term in renegotiating with multilateral financial agencies.
