Britain media reported on Wednesday that Liverpool's midfielder Jordan Henderson would be ruled out for 12 weeks with groin injury.
Reds captain Henderson had scans on Monday on the injury suffered in the derby defeat to Everton.
The Sun said that the Reds' captain will need a surgery, and this ends his season with Liverpool. The midfielder could not be able to partake with England in Euro 2020.
On his part, head coach Jürgen Klopp told his post-match press conference: “It’s the groin/adductor region and nobody in the medical department was positive about it.
“It doesn’t look good, but we have to wait, of course, for the scan tomorrow, hopefully.”
