Liverpool was held to a 2-2 draw in Merseyside Derby against Everton after the Reds went ahead two times, but failed to secure their victory on Saturday.

Sadio Mane, who returned for the squad after completing his recovery from coronavirus, opened the scoring for the last season Premier League champions after only three minutes. This happened when Mohamed Salah started the move, swinging a ball wide left for Andy Robertson, whose low cross was fired into the roof of the net by Mane

Seventeen minutes later, Michael Keane levelled the scoring for Everton, when Rodriguez lifted a well played corner into the penalty area, where Michael Keane rose highest to power a header into the net.

Salah joined Liverpool’s 100 club after giving his side the lead once again in the 72nd minute, when Henderson’s cross was half-cleared by Yerry Mina; Mo instinctively hit a first-time finish into corner beyond Pickford.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin hit the equalizer for the Black Watch in the 81th minute, when Calvert-Lewin rose high and hung the air Michael Jordan style to meet a Digne cross and headed the ball back across goal and in.

Everton's Richarlison has been sent off  after sliding in late and recklessly on Thiago, who he caught dangerously.

Henderson netted the third in the injury time, but the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) disallowed it due to an offside on Mane, who gave the ball to Henderson.
