LIVERPOOL.COM reported on Tuesday that Reports suggest that Liverpool are close to agreeing a new deal worth £117m to keep Mohamed Salah at the club, but FSG have supposedly set a deadline to get the deal done.

It seems, finally, that a new contract for Mohamed Salah is closer than ever before, it said.

A report from Football Insider states that it seems like the two parties are closer than ever to agreeing on a renewal, it added.

Salah’s new deal would see him earn more than twice the amount that the club’s top earner, Virgil van Dijk, makes, moreover, it would put a huge level of strain on Liverpool’s wage structure, said the website.

The website claims that FSG wanted Salah’s deal wrapped up by the beginning of the New Year, and that Salah is asking for a salary in the region of £500,000-per-week, a truly mind-boggling sum, it added.

Salah publicly stated on multiple occasions that he wants to remain at the club and cement his legacy at Liverpool, openly stating that it’s up to the club to decide regarding his future, said the website.

The proposed new deal would see him stay at the club until his 34th birthday, and would be worth an astonishing £117m over the duration of the deal, it added.

Liverpool fans are becoming increasingly agitated by the silence surrounding a new deal as the weeks and months pass, said the website. His contract, as most know by this stage, expires at the end of next season, the website said.

But much to the happiness of Liverpool fans, it seems that a deal is near the finish line, according to the website. It would be a nice Christmas present for many, it said.
