Libyan People Won’t Allow Turkish Intervention: Aguila Saleh

Speaker of Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Saleh said, on Sunday, that Berlin conference is considered a significant step towards promoting ceasefire in Libya.

In press statement to Al –Arabiya TV channel, Saleh added, “The Libyan people will not allow Turkish intervention.”

Moreover, the Libyan official noted that the war against extremism will continue until the elimination of all armed militias.

In addition, he stressed that Turkey is part of the Libyan crisis and not part of the solution.

It is worth mentioning that, the German capital of Berlin is embracing today an international conference on Libya, with the attendance of a galaxy of world leaders.

The summit will be attended by representatives of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council along with the states concerned with the Libyan crisis in addition to representatives for international and regional organizations.

The participants’ list includes Russian President Vladimir Putin, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Algerian President Abdul Majeed Tebboune, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit, Libya’s prime minister of the Government of National Accord Fayez al-Sarraj, Commander of the Libya National Army Khalifa Haftar and UN Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame.

Sunday’s talks aims at achieving stability for the whole region.
