Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski was named The Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year, beating Mohamed Salah and Lionel Messi to the award.

Despite leaving 2021 with no group trophies with both Liverpool and Egypt national team, the past year was very special for Salah on the inpidual level.

The 2020/21 season’s second half saw a lot of great performances from Salah, but in the first half of the 2021/22 campaign, the Egyptian winger took his game to the next level.

In the past four months, Liverpool’s No.11 became Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League top scorer of all time, beating club legend Steven Gerrard to the record, he also overcame Didier Drogba as the all-time Premier League African top scorer.
