The Lebanese Army Command condemned, on Friday, Israel's continued violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, as Israeli forces brought settlers to visit an alleged religious shrine in the "Abbad - Houla" area in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Army considered - in a statement reported by the National News Agency in Lebanon - that the entry of Israeli settlers into Lebanese territory constitutes a blatant violation of Lebanese national sovereignty.
The statement indicated that this act is one of the aspects of Israel's persistence in violating international laws and resolutions, especially Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement.
The statement confirmed that the Lebanese Army Command is following up on the issue in coordination with the five-member committee supervising the ceasefire agreement and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
