Marine Le Pen, the head of the right-wing "National Rally" party in the French parliament, called for stopping the supply of French weapons to Ukraine and depleting the French army's arsenal.
"It is preferable to help Ukraine according to our capabilities, but we cannot do so at the expense of our security and the security of our people," Le Pen said in an interview with CNEWS.
She added that France must stop this, as all the weapons provided today to Kyiv are weapons that were withdrawn from France.
Handing over the heavy weapons that the army needs mean weakening the country’s internal security and exposing it to danger, according to Le Pen.
“It seems that we cannot fight the war at that level of effectiveness that our army should have,” she noted.
It is noteworthy that France had provided Ukraine with 18 CAESAR cannons and intends to deliver 6 more cannons of this type, as well as TRF1 cannons.
Media reports indicate that France has delivered about a third of the CAESAR cannons available to Ukraine.
