Russia's Sputnik news agency reported that Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov said today, Thursday, that Moscow rejects the "peace formula" put forward by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a basis for negotiations.
Lavrov added that Russia believes that Kyiv is still not ready for real peace talks.
Lavrov also told the Russian agency that Kyiv's idea of expelling Russia from eastern Ukraine and Crimea with the help of the West is nothing but an "illusion".
Russia’s FM said, in an interview with Sputnik, that "it is clear that Kyiv is not ready for dialogue by putting forward all kinds of ideas, and the 'Zelensky formula for peace' about achieving the withdrawal of our forces from the Russian lands in Donbass, Crimea, Zaporizhia and Kherson and the payment of compensation by Russia.
