The Ministry of Labor announced Thursday that all employees covered by Labor Law No. 14 of 2025 shall be granted an official paid holiday for Eidul Fitr, expected to fall on Friday.
According a ministerial circular, announced by Labor Minister Hassan Raddad, the holiday begins Thursday, March 19, and continues through Monday, March 23, 2026.
However, employers may require employees to work during this period if work conditions so require, Raddad pointed out in a statement released by the ministry.
In such cases, the employee shall be entitled to double their daily wage in addition to their regular pay, or may be granted an alternative day off, as stipulated by the Labor Law, Raddad noted.
