Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks on Monday with Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer in Moscow, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed.
Nehammer will be the first European official to meet Putin in Moscow since the start of the Russian attack on Ukraine on February 24.
A spokesman for the chancellor, who visited Ukraine on Saturday, said Nehammer would go to Moscow after informing Berlin, Brussels and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with the aim of encouraging dialogue.
On his part, Zelenskyy thanked Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer for his visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and his support for his country.
