Kremlin said on Tuesday, that the issue of expanding BRICS countries will top agenda of BRICS summit, which is scheduled to be held in South Africa on August 22-24.
The current BRICS members are Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Last month, South Africa said that more than 40 countries had expressed interest in joining the bloc.
"More and more countries are announcing their intention to join BRICS," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
