North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Onpho Kulloja Holiday Camp, a new resort and recuperation center under the Ministry of Labour's Resort Management Bureau. His visit underscored the Workers' Party of Korea's (WPK) commitment to providing high-quality recreational and medical facilities for the working people.

Accompanied by senior WPK officials Ri Hi Yong and Kim Jae Ryong, Kim was welcomed by local authorities and construction managers overseeing the project. The development of this hot-spring-based holiday camp aligns with Kim's 2018 directive to transform Kyongsong County, a well-known spa region, into a comprehensive cultural and health retreat.

During his inspection, Kim reviewed the progress of construction, highlighting both achievements and shortcomings that need urgent correction. He stressed that the facility must be flawless in both design and execution, ensuring that visitors enjoy a modern and comfortable experience. The project, now in its final stages, must be completed with the highest standards of quality and convenience, eliminating any potential inconvenience for future guests.

He outlined key priorities, including enhancing service conditions, improving treatment facilities, and maximizing the use of natural landscapes to create a diverse and enjoyable cultural experience. He also emphasized the importance of thorough preparations for operation, ensuring that services are ready immediately upon project completion.

Kim reaffirmed that providing workers with modern recreation and recuperation facilities is a vital part of the WPK’s people-first policies. He stressed that North Korea’s leadership must remain dedicated to improving citizens' lives, offering them better living conditions and access to cultural and health benefits.

The Onpho Kulloja Holiday Camp, designed to blend modern architecture with regional charm, is set to become a landmark facility that promotes both cultural progress and workers' well-being. Kim highlighted its significance, noting that the camp’s completion will mark a major achievement in the year celebrating the 80th anniversary of the WPK.

In addition to the Onpho Kulloja project, Kim also approved budget allocations and labor organization for the completion of another key development – the Yombunjin Haeyang (Maritime) Hostel in North Hamgyong Province.

His visit reaffirmed the North Korean government’s focus on modernizing recreational infrastructure, ensuring that citizens benefit from socialist policies aimed at improving health, leisure, and overall quality of life.
