Khushaf is a pretty known appetizer in the Middle East during the holy month of Ramadan.
Before having iftar’s main dish, many Muslims break their fast by a small bowl of this amazing combination of flavors.
Khushaf mainly contains dates, dried fruits, nuts and water but such a great addition can exist if these ingredients are soaked in milk mixed with vanilla. Here’s the recipe
Ingredients
1/8 kilo dates
1/8 kilo raisins
1/8 kilo dried prunes
1/8 dried apricot
Nuts like almond, pistachio, hazelnut
3 cups Milk
1 cup water
2 packet vanilla
Recipe
In a bowl, wash dates well then soak it in the water for one night. On the second day, add all other dried fruits and nuts.
Add milk, vanilla and stir all components well, then chill for minimum 1 hour before serving and enjoy the taste!
