Kelly Clarkson, 38, and her husband Brandon Blackstock, 43, are going their separate ways after six years.

Clarkson has filed for porce from Blackstock, citing "irreconcilable differences," according to CNN.

The "Voice" coach and Blackstock, a music manager, have been married since October 2013 and have two children together, River Rose,5, and Remington Alexander,4.

Blackstock is also father to two other children from his previous marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

On June 4, Clarkson filed the documents, requesting joint legal and physical custody of the children.

Before calling it quits, Clarkson and Blackstock quarantined together at their property in Montan, during the coronavirus pandemic— where she also recorded her daily television program, “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, and her appearances on NBC's "The Voice."

The novel coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan, China, and has infected more than one million people and killed over 234,139 worldwide. It also hit several celebrities and top political figures around the world.

On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 800,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

Coronavirus can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.

The virus caused complete paralysis in all activities and events with large gatherings worldwide due to concerns over the spread of the virus.

People across the globe partake in self-isolation for 14 days as an effective precautionary measure to protect those around them and themselves from contracting COVID-19.

When Kelly Clarkson met Blackstock

In 2006, the “Because of you” singer and Blackstock first met at the Country Music Awards, when Clarkson was performing a duet with Rascal Flatts.

Blackstock, son of her former manager Narvel Blackstock and former stepson of Reba McEntire, was the group's manager at the time.

After Blackstock porced Ashworth, his and Clarkson reunited at the 2012 Super Bowl, where Clarkson was performing the national anthem and Blake Shelton, whom Blackstock manages, was singing "America the Beautiful." They then began dating.

The pair got engaged in 2012, and tied the knot at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee, on Oct. 20, 2013.

What Went Wrong?

A source revealed in a press statement that the couple decided to call it quits after realizing the relationship has not been working for a while.

The two work together nonstop, which became a contention in their relationship, as Blackstock is the EP of her show as well as her manager.

The “Because of you” singer always talked about wanting more children, which Brandon does not.
