The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton will host a Christmas service at Westminster Abbey on December 8, Kensington Palace announced on Tuesday.

It will be also supported by the Cambridges foundation "to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of inpiduals and organisations across the nation who have stepped up to support their communities through the pandemic," the statement added.

"They will be joined by those working in some of the key areas that Her Royal Highness and The Royal Foundation continue to focus on, including promoting the importance of mental health, supporting families and driving awareness of and action on the extraordinary impact of the early years," it clarified.

According to Kensington Palace, the event will be aired on TV during a special Christmas show.

In the same context, the official Instagram account for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attached the invitations sent to guests.

"The event will bring together inspirational inpiduals from across the UK who have gone above and beyond to care for and protect those in need during the pandemic," the statement highlighted.
