The production began in Canada in February 2020 and moved to other locations in England, however, in March 2020, it was put on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, which shut down movie and television sets around the world

The dinosaur adventure movie resumed production in July, under stringent protocols for the cast and crew to stem the spread of the coronavirus.

The movie cast and crew underwent 40,000 COVID tests and were isolated in a bubble for months. About 25% returned positive, which is around 100 positive results. Some were false positives and some were returned prior to employment at Pinewood, according to Deadline.
