Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly is attending, on Saturday, the signing ceremony of the final peace agreement in Juba between the Sudanese government and the Revolutionary Front.
Juba is the capital and largest city of South Sudan, situated on the White Nile.
The Member of Southern Sudan's Mediation team, Dhieu Matouk, said: “The timing of the signing of the peace agreement between the Government of Sudan and the Revolutionary Front, which includes armed movements and political forces, was set by South Sudan’s President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, and the head of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
Last month, Kiir received Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aaty, and his accompanying delegation, during their official visit to South Sudan.
Kiir expressed his sincere greetings and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Egyptian people for supporting South Sudan during the crises.
on his part, the Egyptian Minister of Irrigation conveyed the greetings of President Sisi to the leadership, government and people of South Sudan.
He also discussed joint cooperation files between the two countries in the field of water resources and irrigation.
