Jordan’s King Abdullah II reaffirmed on Friday his country's support for Syria in building a free, independent state with full sovereignty that meets the aspirations of all its people.
During a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, the King emphasized that Syria’s security and stability are essential for the stability of the region. He also stressed Jordan’s rejection of any aggression against Syria’s territory and sovereignty.
Additionally, King Abdullah called for an immediate halt to the Israeli war on Gaza and for strengthening humanitarian efforts in the region. He highlighted the need for intensified international efforts to create a political horizon for achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
Regarding Lebanon, the King urged continued efforts to ensure the success of the ceasefire.
