Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, Thomas Baric, reaffirmed the commitment of both the Kingdom and the United States to supporting efforts aimed at stabilizing the ceasefire and ensuring the peaceful withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from Aleppo, while guaranteeing the safety and security of all civilians.
This came during talks held yesterday in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which addressed the latest developments in Syria.
The discussions were part of ongoing cooperation and coordination to support the Syrian government's efforts to ensure Syria's security, sovereignty, unity, and stability, as well as to protect the rights and safety of all citizens.
Both sides emphasized the necessity of the immediate implementation of the March 10, 2025 agreement, which was previously committed to by both the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
Safadi and Baric also stressed the continuation of joint work to implement the roadmap for "ending the crisis in Suwayda and stabilizing southern Syria." This roadmap, approved in Syria on September 16, 2025, underscores the necessity of reaching a comprehensive solution to the crisis in Suwayda.
