Italy Pledges Support for Ukraine's Cultural Heritage Restoration

Italy has committed to aiding Ukraine in the protection and restoration of its historical and artistic heritage, according to Italian Minister of Culture Alessandro Jolly.

This pledge was made during a phone call with Ukraine’s Minister of Culture Mykola Tuchytsky, inviting him to speak at the upcoming G7 Culture Ministers' Meeting in Naples, scheduled for September 20-21.

Ukraine’s Culture Minister expressed gratitude for Italy’s unwavering support in defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and cultural identity. He confirmed his participation in the G7 event.

At the G7 meeting, ministers will discuss critical topics, including assistance to Ukraine for preserving and restoring its cultural heritage, the impact of artificial intelligence on creative industries, efforts to combat the illegal trade of art, and managing the effects of climate change on cultural assets.
