Italy has announced a significant investment of €100 million to support and develop its agricultural regions.
The country's Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty, and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida, confirmed the funding, which aims to boost local food products and enhance domestic production.
According to the Italian news agency ANSAmed, Lollobrigida emphasized the government's commitment to fostering collaboration within local production areas.
This initiative will focus on improving the processing and sale of agricultural products, while also ensuring that local producers have access to the latest innovations that can enhance both product quality and production methods.
The minister also highlighted that funding applications must be submitted through the ministry's dedicated online portal by November 15.
The initiative is seen as a key step in supporting Italy’s agricultural sector, which plays a vital role in both the national economy and cultural heritage.
