Italian Airline ITA Suspends Night Flights to Israel until Tuesday

Italian carrier ITA Airways announced today the suspension of its night flights to Israel until next Tuesday, citing escalating security concerns in the region. 

The move comes amid growing worries over safety following recent geopolitical developments in the Middle East.

In an official statement, the airline said the decision was a precautionary measure to minimize potential risks for passengers, particularly during nighttime operations. ITA Airways indicated that normal flight schedules are expected to resume on Tuesday morning if the security situation stabilizes.

The airline stressed that it is closely monitoring developments in coordination with Israeli authorities and is taking all necessary steps to ensure passenger safety. ITA Airways also said it is working to rearrange affected passengers’ flights and provide alternative options where possible.

Although night flights are suspended, ITA Airways confirmed that other daily flights to Tel Aviv, including morning and afternoon services, will continue as planned under a temporary revised schedule.

The suspension comes amid heightened regional tensions, including ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and escalations in other areas of the Middle East, prompting several international airlines to adjust or suspend flights to Israel and surrounding countries.
