The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has confirmed ongoing serious challenges in receiving and delivering aid throughout Gaza.
It pointed out repeated delays, arbitrary inspections, and restrictions imposed by Israeli authorities on access.
According to the UN, between May 1 and May 23, 31 relief missions were prevented from reaching Gaza, and 40 missions were obstructed due to widespread delays, detention of aid workers, warning shots, and the forced abortion of officially approved missions.
The World Food Programme (WFP) also warned that despair and hunger will spread unless large quantities of food and humanitarian supplies begin to enter Gaza.
