Israel's Ambassador to Cyprus, Oren Anolik, denied that latest news of his kidnapping and alleged abduction.
The ambassador denied the latest reports, and assured that he is safe and fine.
Rumors said that Anolik and two of his bodyguards had been kidnapped in Cyprus, leading to huge debates between journalists, Cypriot officials, Members of Parliament, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Israeli Embassy in Nicosia confirmed they received numerous calls about the ambassador’s safety.
Anolik said in a video posted by the ambassador: “I am safe and sound."
