The Israel Defense Forces announced Sunday that it plans to mobilize approximately 100,000 reservists as part of its joint military operation with the United States targeting Iran.

In an official statement, the military said it is preparing to absorb nearly 100,000 reserve soldiers who have been called up to reinforce readiness across all operational sectors. The mobilization is being carried out under “Operation Roaring Lion,” the name assigned to the campaign launched Saturday against Iranian targets.

The large-scale reserve call-up signals a significant escalation in Israel’s military posture amid intensifying regional conflict. Defense officials indicated that the additional forces will strengthen defensive and offensive capabilities across multiple fronts.

The announcement follows coordinated strikes by Israel and the United States against Iranian facilities, prompting retaliatory missile attacks and raising fears of broader regional instability.

Military analysts note that the activation of 100,000 reservists represents one of the most substantial mobilizations in recent years, reflecting the scale and seriousness of the unfolding confrontation.

Authorities have not disclosed the duration of the mobilization, but the move underscores Israel’s heightened state of alert as tensions with Iran continue to escalate.
