Israeli forces have advanced about five kilometers into southern Lebanon, seizing control of eight settlements amid an expanding ground offensive, according to regional media reports.

Military operations are intensifying along multiple фронts, with Israeli troops pushing from the town of Taybeh toward Deir Seryan in a bid to reach the Litani River. Control of this corridor would enable forces to target the Wadi al-Hujeir valley, a key route used for Hezbollah logistics.

In the eastern sector, Israeli units are preparing to encircle Bint Jbeil, the largest urban center south of the Litani River. Troops are advancing from previously captured positions in Maroun al-Ras and Yaroun, while additional movements from Aitaroun toward Aynata aim to tighten the siege.

To the west, Israeli forces have taken several towns, including Ayata ash-Shaab, Dibl, Ramyah, and al-Qawzah, as clashes continue in the outskirts of Beit Lif.

Meanwhile, operations are ongoing in Al-Khiyam, a strategic Hezbollah stronghold near the eastern border, where Israeli troops are conducting clearing missions targeting logistics infrastructure linked to the Beqaa Valley.

Heavy artillery shelling and airstrikes have struck multiple locations, including Bint Jbeil, Maroun al-Ras, Yaroun, Arabsalim, and Jwaya, among others. Lebanon’s health ministry reported at least five fatalities and nine injuries as the escalation continues.
