Mohamed Fawzy, a researcher at the Egyptian Center for Thought and Studies, said that Israel aims to end UNRWA's operations in Gaza and implement a new system for managing humanitarian aid.
He emphasized that the far-right government is persisting with its strategy, which revolves around several key objectives. The first is to intensify the aggressive campaign against the Gaza Strip.
Speaking to "Extra News" channel, Fawzy explained that the second objective focuses on carrying out provocative actions on multiple fronts, particularly in relation to Iran and Lebanon. This includes targeting leaders of Palestinian and Lebanese factions, with the aim of increasing pressure on these groups and reinstating Israel's deterrence, as well as pursuing specific far-right agendas that seek to prolong the conflict.
Fawzy highlighted Israel's intention to render Gaza uninhabitable and to establish a new reality within the territory. He also mentioned Israel's use of provocative measures and policies against religious sites, and efforts to strengthen its occupation in Palestinian territories.
UNRWA said that six of its employees have been killed in an Israeli air strike on a school it runs in central.
On the other hand, Israel's military claimed that it carried out a “precise strike on terrorists” planning attacks from the school.
