The Israeli Walla website confirmed that the Israeli Foreign Ministry informed the United Nations of the cancellation of its agreement with UNRWA, which organized its activities in Israel, Gaza and the West Bank.
For its part, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said that the Israeli legislation to close the main lifeline for Palestinian refugees in Gaza "would be deadly" if fully implemented.
