An Israeli army spokesperson announced on Sunday that the army would evacuate residents of settlements in the Gaza enclave in the coming hours.
During a press conference detailing the latest developments in Hamas' ongoing attack on Israel since Saturday morning, spokesperson Daniel Higari stated, "Our mission in the next 24 hours is to evacuate all residents of the Gaza enclave."
He emphasized that the fighting continues "to rescue the hostages" held by Palestinian militants in Israel.
Higari added, "There are tens of thousands of fighting soldiers; we will reach every gathering to eliminate every terrorist in Israel."
He mentioned that fierce clashes are taking place at the military site of Kfar Azza with Palestinians, noting that hundreds of militants have been killed, and dozens of them have been captured in the battles with the Israeli army.
