The Israeli Ministry of Defense revealed today that 890 soldiers, police officers, and security personnel have been killed since the onset of attacks on October 7, 2023.

According to the ministry, half of these casualties were under the age of 21, encompassing members of the Israeli army, police force, internal security service (Shin Bet), and settlement security guards, with fronts in Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank seeing significant losses.

The vast majority of these casualties occurred on the Gaza front, both during the initial attack in October and in ongoing ground operations. As of today, the Lebanese front alone has witnessed the deaths of 57 officers and soldiers, according to the same source.

Previously, the Israeli military reported that the number of its injured personnel had reached 5,065 across Gaza, the West Bank, and the northern front, with 752 suffering severe injuries.

For over a year, Israel's aggressive stance in the Gaza Strip has resulted in one of the world's worst humanitarian disasters, with more than 143,000 Palestinian casualties, predominantly children and women, and over 10,000 missing amidst widespread devastation and famine that has already claimed the lives of numerous children and elderly.

Since September 23, the scope of the war has expanded to include much of Lebanon, including the capital Beirut, through airstrikes, alongside a ground invasion in the south.

While Israel discloses some of its human and material losses, a strict military censorship often shrouds the full extent of the damages, according to observers.
