His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, member of the Muslim Council of Elders, Grand Mufti and Director of the Fatwa Department at the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai has reiterated that “Everyone is born with fitra”, which is based on fraternity, tolerance and cooperation between people."

During the 'Values of Humanity with the Elders' program which airs on the Muslim Council of Elders' social media channels during the holy month of Ramadan, Haddad said, " Islam promotes equality among all religions and in the words of Imam Ali, "There are two types of people, either a brother in Islam or a brother in humanity.”

He added, "Fraternity requires that each person be helpful and supportive to others for the benefit of people and for cooperation to flourish, much like Almighty Allah created them to do. This is what the Document on Human Fraternity seeks to achieve in terms of allowing humans to cooperate for the betterment of the world. Likewise, this is something that the Muslim Council of Elders aims for under the Chairmanship of His Eminence the Grand Imam, who has long championed fraternity for the sake of humanity."

The member of the Muslim Council of Elders concluded, "Islam does not deny or exclude other religions. It is ethical that we agree or cooperate on what we agree on and excuse each other if we have differences."

The Muslim Council of Elders’ social media pages will broadcast a total of 5 programs during the holy month of Ramadan which falls in line with the Council’s strategy to employ all avenues to promote the values of dialogue, peace and coexistence. Programs include Al-Imam Al-Tayeb, Crescent of Coexistence, With the Elders, Youth Peacemakers and Think About Your Fasting.
