Following the decision of the “United Arab List of the Islamic Movement”, led by Representative in the Knesset (Israel's parliament) Mansour Abbas, to freeze membership in the government coalition and the Knesset.

The leadership of the movement announced that this freeze may turn into a complete withdrawal if the government continues its oppressive policies against the Palestinians in Jerusalem in general and in the mosque Al-Aqsa in particular.

Dr. Iyad Ammar, one of the leaders of this movement, threatened to replace Naftali Bennett's government and negotiate with the opposition headed by Benjamin Netanyahu.

Ammar said, in an interview with "Israeli Army Radio", on Monday, that Netanyahu's government "did not allow any Israeli to bring offerings to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and prevented the extremist Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir from carrying out some provocations."

Ammar added that therefore, in the event of the government’s fall, the (Southern Islamic Movement) will study these differences between Netanyahu’s government and Bennett’s government, and make its decisions.”
