Iraq Summons Iranian Amb. to Protest Missile Attack in Erbil

Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi to protest the recent missile attack that targeted the US consulate in Erbil.

The ministry's statement, according to "Alsumaria News", said: "The Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, and handed him a protest note against the recent missile attack in Erbil Governorate, and the material losses it caused, in addition to spreading fear among the city's residents.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) claimed a missile attack on an Israeli base in Erbil, saying the move came in response to an Israeli airstrike on Syria's capital Damascus on March 7, in which two IRGC officers were killed.
