Iraq’s Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaybis al-Saadawi announced today that air traffic across all Iraqi airports has returned to normal following a temporary suspension due to recent regional unrest.
In a statement, the Ministry’s media office confirmed that the skies over Iraq are now fully open to civilian flights, allowing for both incoming and outgoing air travel.
The General Company for Airports and Air Navigation in Iraq has resumed operations, facilitating the safe management of Iraqi airspace for all types of flights.
Meanwhile, Iraqi Airways, the national carrier, has restarted services to all destinations in conjunction with the airspace reopening, ensuring connectivity and support for domestic and international travel.
This restoration of normal flight operations comes after Israel conducted airstrikes on multiple sites within Iran early this morning.
The Israeli Defense Forces subsequently reported the conclusion of these operations, stating that their fighter jets returned safely to the base after successfully executing their missions.
