A charter flight between Mashhad in northeastern Iran and Kabul, Afghanistan's capital, was conducted by Mahan Air earlier today, amid the resumption of flights to Kabul airport by Qatari, Pakistani, and UAE airlines.

Regular flights between Mashhad and Kabul have resumed after the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization and the Afghan Civil Aviation Organization issued the necessary permits. Mahan Air flew a group of passengers to Kabul Airport on a charter flight today, and the same plane is flying back to Tehran.

Mahan Air once operated twice-weekly charter civilian flights between Mashhad, Iran's holy city, and Kabul, Afghanistan's capital.

Mahan Air operated a charter flight from Mashhad to Kabul today, transporting 19 passengers. In addition, 26 passengers would be taken back to Mashhad on Flight 1148.

At 13:30 p.m., an Airbus 310 arrived at Mashhad Shahid Hasheminejad Airport.
